The Art of Imperfection

Art

I don’t strive for perfection in my artwork, at least not in the usual sense. What I’m directing toward can’t be measured or completed. I aim to evoke something felt—a moment of insight or a sense of the boundless. We cannot grasp these things with the intellect, so I’ve stopped trying to control or refine them into neat forms.

When I create, I often leave things just as they arise (unfinished, spontaneous, raw) because that is what I am expressing. The imperfect and incomplete are not mistakes but the very nature of things. Everything is in flux, either becoming or dissolving.

Nothing exists without flaws; it’s only a matter of perspective. Zoom in close, and you’ll see cracks. Zoom out, and those same cracks become part of a larger harmony.

This is the art of imperfection. It’s not a compromise but a deep trust in the way things are and the beauty that’s here.
