Influences

In the quiet of the Temple, surrounded by the simplicity of everyday objects, I find the heart of my artistic inspiration. It’s not the grand or the ornamental that speaks to me, but the suchness of things as they are—the worn texture of wood, the soft light filtering through a window, the subtle way a leaf falls unnoticed. The world reveals its truth in these ordinary moments, unadorned and complete.

When I create, I’m not pursuing conventional beauty. Instead, I seek to express the essence of a thing—its unmistakable uniqueness, its basic is-ness. A blossom’s imperfection or the uneven tremor of a brush stroke speaks to the transience of the world, always in flux. In each mark, there is a conversation with the hidden, the ineffable. What remains just out of reach, beyond words, is at the heart of reality.

Through art, I find a way to touch the ungraspable.
